The courtyard of Ibn Tulun. Notice the unique Minaret on the right side of the photo. It has an external staircase which is different from common minaret designs. This was done to accomodate Ibn Tulun (Ruler during the Abbasid times) who said he would like to "ride" his horse to the top of the minaret to oversea his city.
